Today is my second anniversary!

Last year, I wrote a blog post to commemorate my bilateral mastectomy and lymphadenectomy. As I read it a few minutes ago, it resonated with just as much emotion as it did the day I wrote it. My suggestion is to journal (or blog) about things through your own personal journey. This way, you can see how far you have come! I lost a lot of hope along the way, and stumbled here and there. However, I’m extremely grateful for all the lessons I have learned about myself (and others).

I celebrated today by going snorkeling at the same beach I went to almost every weekend before I got my diagnosis. Yes, it took two, very long years – but it did finally happen. If you’re struggling to get through things, I hope this gives you hope…
